We are delighted to be bringing the fabulously talented actress and singer Brogan Hollindrake to our latest Christmas tour of Cinderella

This will be Ruth's first time working with Pocket Panto and we're certain that it won't be the last. 

 

JEREMY STROUGHAIR "Ugly Sister" " Buttons"

Jeremy trained at Rose Bruford Drama College. His first professional job was at Nottinghams Roundabout Theatre Company playing the Wolf in "Hood IN The Wood" an adaptation of "Little Red Riding Hood". More recently for Roundabout he was the bully in Roger Watkins "Bully For YOU" and the Cheshire Cat in Alice. In 1995 Jeremy toured Europe with London Production Company in "A Slight Ache". Jeremy works as a Tutor / Director forthe City Council on Srts Plus Adult Education Service. He also works with Nottinghamshire Drug Education Team as a workshop leader and has devised a workshop with his colleague Gary Lagden using animal characters in Shakespeare texts. In May 1999 Jeremy directed an open air community production of "Macbeth" In conjunction with Nottingham Playhouse. Previous pantomime credits include, Giant Blunderbore and Buttercup in "Jack & The Beanstalk", Squire Squelch in "Mother Goose" and Baron Hardup in "Cinderella" all at nottingham Playhouse. For Pocket Panto Jeremy has played various characters in "Panto Bingo", Dame Dotty in "Jack & The Beanstalk", Ugly Sister and Prince Charming in "Cinderella", Abanazer in "Aladdin" and this Christmas played the title role in "Mother Goose"

Becky Little, Music hall writer, director and performer

Rebecca trained at the Arts Educational School, Tring and London.  Theatre credits include: Granny's Big Top Tale, Turned Out Nice Again! and What Became of the Red Shoes? (Little Pixie Productions); Tracy Beaker Gets Real and Forever Young 2010, 2011 and 2012 revival (Nottingham Playhouse); Bless ‘em All (Pocket Panto); The Bunsen Towers Mystery (tour for Kinetic Theatre); Silence (Momentum Festival, Lakeside Arts Centre); Sing-a-long-a-Eurovision (Dublin & UK tours); Macbeth (Chester Gateway); Goldilocks (national tour for Tutti Frutti Productions); The Princess and the Pea and Johnny Thunder (SGA Productions); The Fly, Straight and Narrow, Simply the Best, Canterbury Tales and Loadsamoney! (Oldham Coliseum).Rebecca has also performed extensively in pantomime for the Nottingham Playhouse; Pocket Panto; Brick Lane Music Hall and Players’ Theatre London. Some of her credits include: Cinderella, Mother Goose, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, Dick Whittington, and Jack and the Beanstalk. She is also a regular performer of Victorian Music Hall (Pocket Panto and Players’ Theatre London).With her two sisters, Rebecca is Co Artistic Director of Little Pixie Productions and Relative Pitch Opera. They have created a new opera show The Nightingale of South Bank and several award winning family shows, What Became of the Red Shoes?; Turned Out Nice Again! and Granny's Big Top Tale.

Darren is thrilled to be back at the Plowright Theatre Scunthorpe for his sixth consecutive year playing the ubiquitous Annie Fanny for Tony Peers Productions.
Darren’s Pantomime career stretches back twenty two years where he started working professionally as a member of the stage crew at Wakefield Theatre Royal and Opera House. Afte...
r a role in the end of season “Cod” panto, Darren was asked to appear as a fully fledged member of the cast in the following years show and hasn’t stopped working since.
As well as being a popular pantomime dame Darren has appeared and toured in productions the length and breadth of the country including, “Marat Sade” at the Playhouse Theatre and "Blood Wedding" at the Bloomsbury Theatre both in London’s West End, "Hamlet " at the Sheffield Crucible, "Nash" at The West Yorkshire Playhouse, and has played the title role of Tony in a record breaking production of the improvised play "Tony And Tina’s Wedding" at The English Theatre Frankfurt. The play proved to be so successful with the German audiences the run was extended twice! In 2000 Darren created the title role of Danny Monahan in the new musical "Danny" which toured the country to great acclaim. A few years ago Darren was delighted to be asked to play one of his childhood hero's when he played Groucho Marx in the new play "Anything Further Father" at the Pomegranate theatre in Chesterfield. Earlier this year Darren was delighted to return to the Pomegranate as part of the new Writing Festival performing in ten plays in ten days!
Darren has appeared on our television screens in a number of guises over the years, most notably as PC Henshaw, one of Coronation Streets longest serving bobbies. PC Henshaw appeared in over fifteen major story lines and arrested everyone from Roy Cropper to Mike Baldwin! Other television appearances include playing Billy the barman in “Where The Heart is”, PC McMahon in “Emmerdale” and “The Royal” all for ITV.
In 2004 Darren formed his own touring pantomime company Pocket Panto which takes a traditional family pantomime into schools and community centres throughout the year. This year he has also toured the country in a Victorian Music Hall and also with his new 1940’s show “Bless Em All”. During which he showed his versatility by playing numerous roles from Bud Flanagan to Al Jolson and also one of the Andrews sisters!!!
